When Sarah Fittler and her young son take a ride home from the movies, they end up in the cab of serial killer Bob. Bob takes them to his isolated house and turns the boy, renamed "Rabbit", into a chained captive who must do exactly as he says. Over the next several years, Bob continues to kill, while Rabbit, helpless to stop him, is forced to assist him in cleaning the blood and burying the bodies. When Rabbit becomes an adult, Bob begins to treat him as his son, but with the intent of turning Rabbit into a murderer like him.
