Plot:
The young and dedicated public prosecutor Emre is transferred to a small town in the Anatolian province. He receives a friendly welcome in principle, but is unable to get to grips with the local hunting traditions and, as a city dweller from Ankara, causes a stir. When a young Roma girl is raped and beaten up one night, suspicion falls on the lawyer Sahin, who had invited Emre and the girl to a party at his house the previous evening. But the arrest of the well-known lawyer draws increasing skepticism from the population about Emre. As the local elections approach, Emre is confronted with the complex local politics of a small town where everyone lives by their own version of the truth. In addition to the rape, Emre is preoccupied by an environmental scandal involving water shortages and land subsidence. The idealistic young prosecutor soon finds himself caught in a web of corruption, abuse of power and manipulation.
