While staying in a hotel, the operator accidentally connects her with real estate agent Tom Meade trying to reach his wife at a beauty salon. She asks him to bring her some food. When he does, he suggests she go to his remote, hard-to-sell cabin in the woods to continue hiding from Hollywood and her director/boyfriend while increasing the sales value of the property. She agrees. Now Tom must keep the secret, especially from his wife Martha and from his suspicious housekeeper Lily.
