Plot:

Prostitute Dolly falls in love with Eddy Cremer, manager of the The Hague Community Museum. Cremer has the gift of distinguishing fake from real art. Dolly decides to partly finance the purchase of a Vermeer painting. They travel to Paris to pick it up, only to find out the work is fake. After this disappointment Dolly returns to the Red Light District, where conditions have worsened over time.
