Plot
Storyline
Asso, THE best poker-player in town, was killed in his wedding night, because he won too much against a bad loser. In the 'final' game in heaven the clerk on duty also lost, so Asso can come back to this world as a ghost to search for a good man for his wife (widow). Who is good enough for the wife of Asso ?
The poker king Asso wants to stay away from gambling for the sake of his great love, Silvia. When, on their wedding night of all nights, the man from Marseille - a notorious gambler - comes to town for a poker game, Silvia grants the incorrigible gambler one last game. Although Asso walks away with several million lire, a hit-man is waiting for him on his way home. True to his professional code, the hit-man shoots Asso at dawn with a heavy heart. Out of compassion for the young widow, an unusual decision is made in heaven: the dead Asso is allowed to return to life as a ghost - visible and tangible only to Silvia - to find her a new husband.
