Anthony Zimmer

On the TGV high-speed train to Nice, translator Francois Taillandier meets the attractive Chiara Manzoni. The two hit it off, and before long, they end up spending the night together in Chiara's luxury suite at the hotel. The next day, however, Taillandier is in for a nasty surprise: Not only has his beloved vanished without a trace, but two hit-men apparently believe the translator is a con artist wanted by the Mafia, the KGB, and Interpol. Taillandier barely manages to escape. During his frantic escape, which takes him all over Nice, he realizes that Chiara has used him to throw them off the trail and distract his pursuers from her lover, the mysterious Anthony Zimmer. However, no one knows what the wanted man looks like, as he has undergone plastic surgery. Desperate, Francois tries to prove his innocence.
