"In the Trieste of 1977, two young militants from opposing factions—Almerigo on the right and Vito on the left—clash in the piazza but end up helping each other escape from the police. Years later, Vito—now a journalist—must decide whether to dedicate a plaque to the memory of Almerigo, who became an esteemed war reporter before his untimely death. That gesture reopens wounds that never truly healed, forcing him to reckon with the past, the choices made back then, and what remains of an impossible friendship."
