Ruby Robinson has become known as the one of the world's preeminent gemologists, her specialty in restoration. It is that renown that she received arguably what is her biggest commission: to restore the crown jewels of Gullian for the imminent coronation of Prince Luca to the throne, the jewels which have been placed in a vault since the King's passing years ago. The progressive Prince wants to be a King of the people and as such open up much of what has previously happened for the privileged to all the people, including putting the jewels back on public display. This does not sit well with Queen Ivy and her personal advisor, Countess Finella, both who are traditionalists. What the Queen and Countess may have the biggest issue with if they found out is the romantic connection that forms between the Prince and Ruby, a commoner, especially as they both see the Countess' daughter Jory as the Queen in waiting, they also unaware of Jory's relationship with Zander Shaw, the Prince's best friend and also a commoner in being royal staff.
