A Good Day to Die Hard

John McClane learns that his estranged son, Jack McClane, is arrested in Moscow and will be in court for trial in a couple of days and the best scenario is to be sentenced to life. He travels to Moscow to help Jack and on the arrival, he sees an armed and dangerous group blowing up the tribunal building and trying to kill Jack and capture the other escapee, Komarov. He helps Jack and Komarov to escape and when they meet each other, he leans that Jack is a CIA operative and is trying to help Komarov to go to the USA. Komarov has the profile of the powerful Chagarin, who was his partner in Chenobyl. They go to a CIA hideout under the command of Jack's partner Collins, but Komarov tells that he accepts the deal provided his daughter Irina goes with him. Collins accept the arrangement and Komarov calls Irina and schedules an encounter in a hotel that is being renovated. But the hideout is attacked by the Russians and Collins is shot and killed. Now, John teams up with Jack and go to the hotel with Komarov to meet Irina and arrange the extraction from Moscow. When they arrive at the meeting point. John feels that something is not right in the place, but Jack says that he is paranoid. But something really happens, and the group is betrayed by Irina and subdue by the Russian gang that kidnaps Komarov. Now they need to escape and rescue Kamarov.
